Teacher Intern

Starting School Year 2024-2025

The Foote School is seeking a full-time Intern beginning September 2024. The Foote School is an independent K-9 co-ed day school in New Haven, Connecticut. We aim to endow students with timeless values while providing thoughtful experiences that will prepare them to learn, lead, and grow in the 21st century.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as primary substitute teacher.
• Assist in classroom activities, trips, sports, and other school projects.
• Coach athletic team(s) and/or participate in the After School Program.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid CT driver's license and approved CT public passenger A endorsement is preferred, or the interest in obtaining this endorsement.
• Some experience working with children.
• Ability to multitask.
• Good interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time, 10-month,  salaried exempt position. The school year hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with summers and school holidays off.
